WOW, What a Year!!!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think launching Kneads Deep would have taken off quite as it did; it’s been a crazy 18 months.

As many of you know I also work at Tallington Lakes as an instructor, mostly skiing and climbing, but occasionally I get a golden ticket to go out on the water. I started straight out of university, thinking I’d only be there for a year before travelling the world, and 6 years later I’m still there. It’s not really a job when you get to spend most of your hours outside doing hobbies you love.

In the last year I have been proposed to, I said yes, got married and been on an amazing honeymoon to the Maldives, worked full time at Tallington, massaged most evenings, some mornings (I am not a morning person!), completed a cupping and massage gun course, and was lucky enough to be asked to be the physio/first aider for Bourne Town FC’s men’s first team for the 21/22 season. I told you it’s been a crazy 18 months.

I’ve learnt a lot in the last year, the main one being I am rubbish at social media. I know I’m probably in the right generation to be all invested in the socials, but I can honestly say I do not enjoy it! Maybe it’s because as a kid I would rather be outside chasing a ball around rather than being inside making videos or on the computer, who knows! But I am going to make more of an effort with it.

The second thing I have learnt is that sometimes I need to take a break and have some down time. A maximum of 5 massages a day is more than enough, not only because my poor little hands hurt, but because I want to ensure I am providing the best service I can. After 5 massages I am tired, especially after working a full-time job at Tallington as well, sometimes it’s hard to remember when I last had a day off. I need to remember to take a break sometimes before I have a burn out, which is difficult when I don’t want to let anyone down.

Lastly, I would like to thank every single one of my clients from the last 18 months. All of you have been great, I love chatting away about literally anything, it makes quite a change from kids chatting about unicorns or rocks on ski lessons.

If any of my clients could give a couple of minutes of their time to leave a review on Facebook or Google I would be very grateful 🙏
